To Love a Mockingbird

But the good news is that I did get everything else done that was on my “To Do List” and we had a wonderful vacation. I have lots of pictures to upload and maybe even some video. I am working on a vacation post. Hopefully I will get that up before our next years vacation.

 We got back Tuesday night and Wednesday was my birthday. A quiet birthday but I can’t say that I would have wanted anything more what with all the running we had done. And today was supposed to be my first day back to work until Lucy started with a pretty rough cough yesterday. I decided this morning that I would take a sick day and boy am I glad I did. I took her to the doctor this morning just to make sure that she wasn’t coming down with something and it turns out that she was- bronchitis. Lovely.

I just gave her the first dose of her medicine and about a minute later she began coughing. She looked at me and said, “that medicine isn’t working”. I hate it when she is sick. I know no parent enjoys a sick child but I really do hate it.

Well, I guess I’d better get back to her. She is needing plenty of extra hugs and kisses and I’ve got plenty to hand out!
