A little cough syrup may have been consumed before the writing of this

So, snot is what has been going on here. Lots and lots of snots. I took Lucy to the doctor on Thursday and he did a chest x-ray and determined that it was viral bronchitis. I can’t be positive, as I did not actually go to the doctor, but I think I came down with it starting on Sunday. I called the office and spoke to the nurse and he called me out cough syrup. Needless to say I’ve been pretty loopy. Lucy is pretty much back to her old self and I am so thankful for that! Because let me tell you I COULD NOT STAND ONE.MORE.MELTDOWN! I know that she did not feel good and that was the reason for the bad attitude but when your husband is busy with work and you are the only one in the house that is there to wipe snot, suction the nose, give dose after dose of medicine and comfort, things start to wear on you a little lot.

In other “non-snot” related news, I’ve got my first real cake gig this weekend (and how lovely of me to mention it in a post where every other word is referring to the mucus membranes of me and my child). I will post pictures of it once it is completed. Until then, a picture of Lucy playing with fondant…

I swear, it was no bigger than the size of a dime when she started playing with it!

  1. Poor you!! Bronchitis (sp?) must be going around. I have on with it too. Thatcher is starting the snot thing too, I just hope it doesn’t turn into bronchitis. I hope you feel better soon. Can’t wait to see the cake, your projects are always so good.
